Privacy policy

Soonjar helps you keep track of the food and other things you keep at home, and the dates on them. This policy explains what personal data the Soonjar app and this website use, why, who else handles it, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it.

Who we are

Soonjar is made by Orhun Doğan, an independent developer in Türkiye (“we”, “us”). We decide how your data is used. For anything about your data, write to support@soonjar.app.

What we use, and why

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. From them we get an account ID, your name and your email address. With Apple you can hide your email, and then we get an address that Apple forwards. We use these to keep your pantry in your account, to show your name to the people in your household, and to answer you if you write to us.

Your pantry and household

What you put into Soonjar is kept in your account: the things you add with their names, dates, amounts, places, categories, prices and notes; your shopping list; what was used or thrown away, for your monthly summaries; reminders, minimum stock rules and the labels you print. For a household we keep its name, the names and roles of its members, and its invites. Everyone in a household sees the household’s pantry. We use this data only to run Soonjar for you.

What stays on your phone

Photos you take of things, the app’s settings and the files you export stay on your phone unless you share them yourself. The camera reads barcodes, QR labels and printed dates on the phone, and those pictures aren’t sent to us.

Speaking to add things

If you add things by speaking, your phone’s speech recognition turns what you say into text. On an iPhone this is Apple’s speech recognition, which may send the recording to Apple, and Apple’s privacy policy applies to it. We only get the things you then add.

Barcode lookups

When you scan a product barcode the app doesn’t know yet, it asks Open Food Facts, an open food database, for the product’s name. Only the barcode number is sent, together with your phone’s internet address, as with any request on the internet.

Premium

You buy Premium through the App Store. Apple takes the payment, and we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to know what you bought. RevenueCat gets your Soonjar account ID, your purchases and basic data about the phone, such as its model, system version, country and the app’s version. When someone buys Premium Aile, everyone in their household gets it; for that we keep who bought it and until when in our database.

The free version shows an ad card in some lists, served by Google AdMob. To show and count ads and to stop fraud, Google may use your device’s identifiers, your internet address, your approximate location and how you interact with the ad. Ads are chosen by your interests only if you say yes when the app asks, and you can change that any time in Settings › Ad choices. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s own consent form asks you. On an iPhone, the advertising identifier is used only if you also allow tracking when the iPhone asks. Premium has no ads.

Settings from our server

The app loads a few settings from Firebase Remote Config, such as whether ads are on. This uses an ID for the app’s installation, not your account.

This website

Firebase Hosting serves these pages, and Google processes your internet address to deliver them and keep them safe. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or trackers.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and what you write to answer you.

We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for advertising of our own, and we don’t build profiles of you. The app has no analytics or crash reporting tools.

Who else handles it

Google: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Remote Config and Hosting; Google Sign-In; AdMob. Your account’s pantry and household data are stored in Google Cloud’s Frankfurt region in Germany. Sign-in, Remote Config and AdMob may process data in other countries, including the United States.
Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, speech recognition.
RevenueCat, Inc.: subscriptions, in the United States.
Open Food Facts: barcode lookups, in France.

They process data for us, or under their own terms, with safeguards for transfers between countries such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Apart from them, we share data only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your account, pantry and household data: as long as you have an account. When you delete your account they’re deleted straight away. What you added to a household that others are in stays with them, without your name.
Copies in our database backups: gone within 14 weeks.
Invites: they stop working after a week.
Purchase records at RevenueCat: until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires keeping them. Apple keeps its own records of App Store purchases.
Emails: as long as we need them to help you, and no more than two years.

Your rights

In the app you can see and change your data, export it (Settings › Export data) and delete your account at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to limit or object to how we use it, or to get it in a form you can take elsewhere. Write to support@soonjar.app and we’ll answer within 30 days.

Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: our contract with you for your account, pantry, household and purchases; your consent for ads chosen by your interests, which you can take back at any time; our legitimate interests in keeping Soonjar safe and working and in answering you; and legal obligations for purchase records. If you think we got something wrong, you can complain to your data protection authority. In Türkiye that’s the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), and users in Türkiye can also read our KVKK notice.

Children

Soonjar isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll change the date at the top. If the change matters, we’ll tell you in the app first.

Neyi, neden kullanıyoruz

Hesabınız

Apple ya da Google ile giriş yaparsınız. Onlardan bir hesap kimliği, adınızı ve e-posta adresinizi alırız. Apple ile e-postanızı gizleyebilirsiniz; o zaman Apple’ın size yönlendirdiği bir adres gelir. Bunları kilerinizi hesabınızda tutmak, adınızı hanenizdeki kişilere göstermek ve bize yazarsanız size cevap vermek için kullanırız.

Kileriniz ve haneniz

Soonjar’a girdikleriniz hesabınızda saklanır: eklediğiniz şeyler ve bunların adları, tarihleri, miktarları, yerleri, kategorileri, fiyatları ve notları; alışveriş listeniz; aylık özetleriniz için neyin kullanıldığı ya da atıldığı; hatırlatmalar, en az stok kuralları ve bastığınız etiketler. Bir hane için adını, üyelerinin adlarını ve rollerini ve davetlerini saklarız. Hanedeki herkes hanenin kilerini görür. Bu verileri yalnızca Soonjar’ı sizin için çalıştırmak için kullanırız.

Telefonunuzda kalanlar

Çektiğiniz fotoğraflar, uygulamanın ayarları ve dışa aktardığınız dosyalar, siz paylaşmadıkça telefonunuzda kalır. Kamera barkodları, QR etiketleri ve basılı tarihleri telefonda okur; bu görüntüler bize gönderilmez.

Konuşarak ekleme

Bir şeyleri konuşarak eklerseniz, telefonunuzun konuşma tanıması söylediğinizi yazıya çevirir. iPhone’da bu, kaydı Apple’a gönderebilen Apple’ın konuşma tanımasıdır ve ona Apple’ın gizlilik politikası uygulanır. Biz yalnızca sonra eklediğiniz şeyleri alırız.

Barkod sorgulama

Uygulamanın henüz tanımadığı bir ürün barkodunu okuttuğunuzda, ürünün adını açık bir gıda veritabanı olan Open Food Facts’e sorar. İnternetteki her istekte olduğu gibi, yalnızca barkod numarası telefonunuzun internet adresiyle birlikte gönderilir.

Premium

Premium’u App Store üzerinden alırsınız. Ödemeyi Apple alır, ödeme bilgilerinizi biz hiç görmeyiz. Ne aldığınızı bilmek için RevenueCat’i kullanırız. RevenueCat, Soonjar hesap kimliğinizi, satın alımlarınızı ve telefonla ilgili model, sistem sürümü, ülke ve uygulama sürümü gibi temel bilgileri alır. Biri Premium Aile aldığında hanesindeki herkes bundan yararlanır; bunun için kimin aldığını ve ne zamana kadar geçerli olduğunu veritabanımızda tutarız.

Reklamlar

Ücretsiz sürüm bazı listelerde Google AdMob’un sunduğu bir reklam kartı gösterir. Google, reklamı göstermek, saymak ve dolandırıcılığı önlemek için cihaz tanımlayıcılarını, internet adresinizi, yaklaşık konumunuzu ve reklamla etkileşiminizi kullanabilir. Reklamlar ilgi alanlarınıza göre ancak uygulama sorduğunda evet derseniz seçilir; bu tercihi istediğiniz zaman Ayarlar › Reklam tercihleri’nden değiştirebilirsiniz. AEA’da, Birleşik Krallık’ta ve İsviçre’de size Google’ın kendi onay formu sorar. iPhone’da reklam tanımlayıcısı ancak iPhone sorduğunda izlemeye de izin verirseniz kullanılır. Premium’da reklam yoktur.

Sunucumuzdan gelen ayarlar

Uygulama, reklamların açık olup olmadığı gibi birkaç ayarı Firebase Remote Config’ten alır. Bunun için hesabınız değil, uygulamanın kurulumuna ait bir kimlik kullanılır.

Bu site

Bu sayfaları Firebase Hosting sunar; Google, sayfaları size ulaştırmak ve güvenli tutmak için internet adresinizi işler. Site çerez kullanmaz, analiz ya da izleme aracı içermez.

E-posta

Bize yazarsanız, size cevap vermek için e-posta adresinizi ve yazdıklarınızı kullanırız.

Verilerinizi satmayız, kendi reklamlarımız için kullanmayız ve sizin hakkınızda profil çıkarmayız. Uygulamada analiz ya da çökme raporlama aracı yoktur.

Verileri başka kimler işler

Google: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Remote Config ve Hosting; Google ile giriş; AdMob. Hesabınızın kiler ve hane verileri Google Cloud’un Almanya’daki Frankfurt bölgesinde saklanır. Giriş, Remote Config ve AdMob verileri Amerika Birleşik Devletleri dahil başka ülkelerde işleyebilir.

Bu şirketler verileri bizim adımıza ya da kendi koşullarıyla, Avrupa Komisyonu’nun standart sözleşme maddeleri gibi ülkeler arası aktarım güvenceleriyle işler. Bunlar dışında verileri yalnızca kanun gerektirdiğinde paylaşırız.

Ne kadar saklıyoruz

Hesabınız, kiler ve hane verileriniz: hesabınız olduğu sürece. Hesabınızı sildiğinizde hemen silinir. Başkalarının da olduğu bir haneye ekledikleriniz, adınız olmadan onlarda kalır.
Veritabanı yedeklerimizdeki kopyalar: en geç 14 haftada silinir.
Davetler: bir hafta sonra geçersiz olur.
RevenueCat’teki satın alma kayıtları: kanun saklamamızı gerektirmedikçe, siz silmemizi isteyene kadar. Apple, App Store satın alımlarının kendi kayıtlarını tutar.
E-postalar: size yardım etmek için gerektiği kadar, en fazla iki yıl.

Haklarınız

Uygulamada verilerinizi görebilir ve değiştirebilir, dışa aktarabilir (Ayarlar › Verileri dışa aktar) ve hesabınızı istediğiniz zaman silebilirsiniz. Ayrıca bizden verilerinizin bir kopyasını, düzeltilmesini ya da silinmesini, işlenmesinin sınırlandırılmasını ya da işlenmesine itirazınızın dikkate alınmasını ve verilerinizi başka bir yere götürebileceğiniz bir biçimde almayı isteyebilirsiniz. support@soonjar.app adresine yazın; 30 gün içinde cevap veririz.

Türkiye’deki kullanıcılar için kişisel verilerin işlenmesine dair ayrıntılar ve KVKK’dan doğan haklar KVKK aydınlatma metninde yer alır. Bir yanlışımız olduğunu düşünürseniz Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu’na şikâyette bulunabilirsiniz.

Çocuklar

Soonjar 13 yaşından küçük çocuklar için değildir ve onların verilerini bilerek toplamayız.

Değişiklikler

Bu politikayı değiştirirsek en üstteki tarihi güncelleriz. Değişiklik önemliyse önce uygulamada haber veririz.
